Specifications include, but are not limited to: Repairing artificial turf fields in the Chicago Park District. Repairs may include, but are not limited to, re-gluing seams, re-gluing loose inlays, replacing green areas, replacing inlays, adding additional infill, minor leveling of stone base, repairing tears or rips not on a seam, burn marks, and re-gluing material onto metal utility vault covers. Additionally, repairs may include the repair or replacement of metal sleeves that hold bases in place on turf infields, as well as pitchers mounds and batter’s box area. Hot glue may only be used when repairing seams, inlays, rips or utility vault covers. Lastly, fields are to be ready for use immediately after a repair has been completed.
