Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Office of the Illinois Secretary of State, Department of Physical Services is in need of Professional Structural, Architectural and/or Engineering Services for a study with repair/renovation recommendations of the current condition of the 4th floor colonnade level, the inner and outer domes and the exterior stone of the Illinois State Capitol Building. • Perform a survey of the current condition of the 4th floor colonnade level, the inner and outer domes and the exterior stone cladding of the Illinois State Capitol. • Based on the survey and study, provide a detailed and prioritized list of recommended corrections or repairs to all issues identified. • Prepare an Estimate of probable repair and construction costs. • Examine and monitor possible condensation/water infiltration issues in the interstitial space between the inner and outer domes of the State Capitol. • Examine plaster deterioration at the 4th floor colonnade level. • Examine current condition of electric snow melting cables in the stone gutters. • Examine condition of existing metal clad upper porches. • Determine what, if any, damage is being caused by bird waste on stone, and metal surfaces
