Description

The County of Kane (“County”) and the Kane County Information Technologies (IT) Department are soliciting proposals to replace one (1) Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) system that is near the end of life. The UPS system provides power protection and backup power to computer, network, and communications equipment located in the KaneComm 911 Dispatch Center. The current UPS system (Eaton 9355 with 3 additional battery cabinets) is in the Data Center within the Dispatch Center (719 Batavia Avenue, Building C, Geneva IL, 60134). This is a prevailing wage project.

MANDATORY PRE-PROPOSAL/SITE VISIT: A mandatory pre-proposal/site visit will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at the following location: Kane County KaneComm Office, 719 S. Batavia Avenue, Building C (front entrance), Geneva, IL 60134.

Event Note

A one-time mandatory site visit is scheduled for Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., so that responding vendors can walk through the location, better understanding of the project, and be aware of additional items required for project completion. The UPS will be installed in the same space in the room. This site visit will also be used to understand the current UPS situation. The site visit IS required to successfully respond to the RFP.
