Quicklime Must be 0”-1/4” granular lime Must be delivered in bulk trucks in approximately 20-ton quantities and placed pneumatically in an overhead storage bin at the Normal Water Treatment Plant. Product unloading must be accomplished between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., prevailing time. The delivery trailer must have seal tags attached on all entry and exit points immediately following loading. Loads with missing or broken seal tags will not be accepted. The lime product must meet or exceed all applicable requirements of AWWA Standard B202-19 or latest revision. An affidavit of compliance with these standards must accompany the bid. A guaranteed analysis must accompany the bid. A certificate of analysis and a sample must accompany each load. Loads failing to meet guaranteed analysis will not be accepted. Lime with an available CaO content of less than 88% will not be accepted and no freight will be allowed. The bid will be evaluated on a basis of the lowest cost per ton corrected to 100% CaO content (i.e. bid cost divided by %CaO guaranteed = cost at 100% CaO). Certificate of analysis is required with each shipment. Liquid Chlorine Liquid chlorine must be delivered in one-ton containers that conform to applicable regulations of the Interstate Commerce Commission.
