AMC/A9 manages and operates the state-of-the-art venue and modeling and simulation capability for AMC. The VWC system utilizes multiple global airlift, tanker, and warfighting computer models for evaluating air mobility capability in peacetime and wartime scenarios. These models range from various spreadsheet-based approaches to large-scale models and simulations such as the Analysis of Mobility Platform (AMP), the Air Refueling Model (ARM), Command Professional Edition (CPE), and the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM). The VWC maintains a workload on a cloud hosted Special Access Program (SAP) environment, to provide modeling and simulation support to various AMC research activities at higher classification levels.
