- Surface Preparation: o Repairing / patching any existing wall damage including holes, scratches, stains, etc. o Cleaning, sanding and priming of walls - Painting: o For Police Dept: ▪ Police Dept. to approve color and type of paint. Contractor shall provide a paint color and sheen sample to the Police Dept. before doing any paint work so that the Police Dept. can verify correct color and sheen of paint. Contractor shall submit an MSDS sheet and details, specifications and color codes for any paint being proposed. ▪ Type and color of paint to be used throughout building interior shall match existing paint color and sheen per the color code provided by the Police Dept. ▪ Base bid shall include one (1) coat of paint at each location being painted. Contractor shall also provide an alternate cost to use two (2) coats of paint in locations where two coats may be needed or requested by the Village. o For Civic Center: ▪ Type and color of paint to be used throughout the interior of the COD area shall match existing paint color and sheen. ▪ The emergency generator is a Cummins model DFCE-3376284 with Cummins sandstone paint color. New paint to match existing Cummins sandstone paint and shall prevent rust and corrosion. Contractor shall conduct further research as needed to ascertain exactly what paint to use that is recommended by Cummins.
