Specifications include, but are not limited to: The delivery of Rock Salt in bulk shall be by truck. The truckloads of salt shall not be dumped unless a CTA operator is on site. Normal deliveries shall be made between the hours of 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM during a 5-day work week. If requested by CTA, the vendor shall also be able to make after hours scheduled non-emergency deliveries between the hours of 3:30 PM and 7:00 AM. The Contractor is to notify, 24 hours prior to delivery, Senior Coordinator, Utility Service, at (773) 722-4302 or (773) 722-4303. The Contractor shall state the number of truckloads, location and approximate time, within two hours; the salt is to be delivered. Failure to do so shall be considered a violation of the terms and conditions of the Contract. A normal delivery by the Contractor shall be understood to mean that when an electronic release is made against the Contract, delivery of the Rock Salt shall be completed by the Contractor within a period not greater than 48 hours after receipt of notification of electronic release. In case of emergency, the Contractor must be capable of making deliveries in the same day, no later than 24 hours, after receipt of notification of electronic release.
