Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Due to the unique environment of the laboratory causing temperature shifts of large heat loads and increased outside ventilation a supplemental HVAC system consisting of both heating and cooling capabilities is required • The system must be supplemental to the existing forced air building HVAC • The system must be able to be controlled independent of the building HVAC • The system must be able to independently control the temperature of three areas of differing sizes (25Dsqft, 125Dsqft, and 350sqft which are linear adjacent). • Any exterior portion of the system will need to be mounted on a flat rubber roof or on the side of the building above the rubber roof approximately 75 feet from the farthest room and directly above the closest room to be conditioned • All piping and wiring will need to be ran above the drop ceiling to both exterior and interior portions • A 4 head system is preferred (one head in each of the smaller rooms and two heads in the large room) • The unit must be able to supply additional heating and cooling to the laboratory and adjoining rooms capable of increasing or decreasing the temperatures in those areas by at least 20 degrees (temperatures have been recorded to exceed 95° Fin summer and drop below 55° Fin winter) • The interior portions must be able to be mounted above workspaces and be remotely controlled • Local dealers and installers are preferred to aid in future repair and maintenance of the system • No third party contracting
