The Illinois Tollway is seeking a one-year sole economically feasible source contract for the purchase of 6C sticker tags and related equipment technology necessary to transmit electronic toll transactions from vehicles to the lane system host for further processing. This contract will provide: • 6C sticker tag purchases. 6C sticker tags are the most current form of transponder in-vehicle technology mounted to the windshield of vehicles to record and track tolling transactions. • Next Generation Roadside Equipment purchases. Next Generation Roadside Equipment is the transponder reader technology which includes transponder/6C sticker tag readers, antennas, and all other related transponder technology. This equipment and technology enable transmission of toll transactions to the lane system host to ultimately collect toll revenue.
