The Work: Contractor shall perform all necessary duties, supply labor and equipment to provide Snow Removal Services at (the “Property”) as shown in Exhibit A and other duties as agreed to and approved by Owner. Contractor shall be reimbursed for consumables purchased on behalf of Owner on a monthly basis. An inventory log shall be submitted along with the consumables purchased for each location for each month. Work performed shall be invoiced based on snow and/or ice events. In the event of snowfall or ice conditions occurring overnight, during non-hours of operation, the contractor is responsible for ensuring that snow-ice removal and salting services are performed and completed prior to the starting hours of operation for any given day. The hours of each facility are located below. In all cases, snow removal and/or salting services shall be provided on an as needed basis, and the contractor shall be “on call” by designated or appropriate MetroLINK supervisory personnel. The contractor shall provide a “24-7” contact telephone number for the required services. In the event that contractor is called in by MetroLINK Personnel, contractor shall be required to start snow removal or salting services within 2 hours of initial call in, unless otherwise noted during the call-in discussion. MetroLINK reserves the right to perform work or contract for the performance of work for snow removal and/or salting services at its discretion if the selected contractor is unable or unavailable, or if MetroLINK deems it necessary. Snow removal and/or salting services should be automatically provided whenever the local weather reports indicate ½” or more of snow has fallen or greater than 1/8” of ice has formed on road/sidewalk surfaces. In the event that snow continues to fall, the contractor shall be prepared to provide repeated and continuous snow removal and salting services, as needed. In some cases, MetroLINK supervisory personnel may contact the contractor to request services during weather events that fall below the aforementioned thresholds. Snow haul away & disposal frequency will be determined by MetroLINK supervisory personnel on an as needed basis. Contractor is solely responsible for disposal of all snow removed from property. Contractor must remove all accumulated snow piles within 24 hours of receiving notice (typically needed at District Station and Centre Station). The contractor will be responsible for determining their own disposal location. MetroLINK shall be kept appraised of all actions, issues and problems related to the performance of professional snow removal and salting services relative to this Agreement for Snow Removal and Salting Services. Snow removal and salting services are defined herein and shall not be altered or changed without the express written consent of MetroLINK.
