Specifications include, but are not limited to: ENGINEERING DESIGN: 1. Please note that in 2023, the Village engaged the firm of Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. to perform a topographic and utility survey of the project area. The survey was prepared in accordance with Village requirements and survey shots were taken in approximate 10’ and 25’ intervals where appropriate to pick up information that may include building entries, sidewalks, top and bottom of curbs, curb ramps, stormwater structures, utility structures, permanent landscape features and permanent structures in the street scape. The engaged consultant shall utilize the work of KimleyHorn into their plans for the Project. A copy of Kimley-Horn’s work product will be provided to the selected consultant prior to the commencement of engagement negotiations with the Village. 2. As the Project includes landscaping (including tree installations) in several locations within the project area, the Village is requiring use of an Illinois Licensed Landscape Architect to assist with the composition of the improvement plans. Final improvement plans shall contain the stamp and seal of an Illinois Licensed Landscape Architect and an Illinois Licensed Professional Engineer, as well as other stamps and seals that may be applicable/required. 3. Coordination with the Village’s GIS Consortium to obtain all available aerial contour mapping and utility data for the project area and immediate surrounding area. This includes the most recent available Cook County Lidar data that Northbrook GIS staff has converted to Lidar (.las) files to represent a 1-ft contour surface. Spot verification of ground contours and critical ground spot elevation will be required. Include all Village provided archived project “as-constructed” information in the survey and design documents.
