Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. This is a notice of intent to award a contract as a sole source to: Municipal Media Corp dba Recycle Coach for the creation of the Illinois Recycling Education Program. The services include a statewide study, a tool kit per county for residents, an interactive map, and a smartphone app to identify recyclables and what to do with nonrecyclables. These services will produce a holistic recycling education program to help all Illinois residents understand how to properly dispose of household waste. The vendor will identify communities that have not been onboarded and provide a needs assessment to identify waste disposal rules through working with local entities. Once that is complete, the Recycle Coach Technology will be created and customizable for those that have yet to be onboarded. Those communities which have already been onboarded will continue to use the services provided as well as updated materials that are released within the duration of the contract. Using the technology, residents will be able to identify recycling options specific to their location and the item they want to dispose.
