Specifications include, but are not limited to: The CTA is requesting proposals from security service company(ies) to provide unarmed security guard coverage with canine at CTA rail stations, on the rail system, and at other CTA bus and rail locations, which may be experiencing security issues (hereinafter referred to as “posts”) for a period of two (2) years. The security company(ies) shall be primarily responsible for enforcing CTA’s Code of Conduct, which includes, but not limited to theft of materials, breach of security by customers, and to provide for the safety of CTA customers, vendors and personnel. Furthermore, the security company(ies) must have security personnel licensed to perform unarmed guard services and security company(ies) must have the ability to field canines that may be trained to detect drugs and/or bombs or explosive devices. CTA retains the right in conjunction with the security company(ies) to issue specific post responsibilities that will be detailed in the location’s “Post Orders.” Security guards, with canines, are to be provided for up to 110 posts for 24 hours a day, 7 days per week and 365 days a year. Canine teams should consist of one (1) canine and two (2) security officers. CTA retains the right to add or delete posts as needs change. Security company(ies) are responsible for providing any and all data required by CTA as it relates to guard allocation, time keeping, and scope of guard and supervisor activities while on duty. Security company(ies) are responsible for maintaining a data collection system that conveys accurate and timely information and is user friendly for CTA to extract data for analysis purposes. CTA retains the right to request the aggregation and transmission data in a format that meets CTA requirements and is in a format that allows for easy reconciliation of accounts payable/receivable transactions.
