Specifications include, but are not limited to: submit a project plan using the design standards below that is in compliance with all applicable HUD, EPA, and State of Illinois regulations as well as all local building and zoning codes. The plan must include a clear project timeline and budget with line item costs. The contractor shall act as the general contractor for the project using subcontractors as required. Subcontractors that will be required should be clearly identified in the project plan.; Contractors bidding on this work must carry a current State of Illinois Lead workers and Supervisors license or hire a company that carries those licenses in order to abate LBP. Contractor is also required to give a 7-day notice to the IL State Health department on the start date. Set up containment around each window being removed on the first floor on the inside around the windows. Remove sashes and stops of the frames; C1,C2,D1,D2,A1,A2, & B1. Use replacement windows with vinyl frames and sashes. Insulated between old frames and new window units. Wrap up old units in poly sealing the top with tape and properly dispose. There is LBP behind the existing break metal which will be disturbed during the window replacement. Install new break metal and apply a matching quad grade caulk as sealant to window and existing siding. A clean for clearance will need to be done at the end the window installation.; Part II of this project is to remove existing shingles down to roof sheathing. Check for any damage, wood rot, or large gaps replace as needed. If resheathing is needed you must contact the construction officer for an approved change order. Install ice and snow guard on the lower edge of the roofline per manufacturer’s instructions. Install approved water barrier over the remainder of the roof. Cut in a shingle-over ridge vent along the peak to prep for the installation of a new vent. If vent cans were previously installed then patch holes with sheathing of same thickness before covering. All plumbing boots, electric mast boot, chimney flashing, and flue pipes must be replaced with new. Install new 2” style D roof edge in white. Install 30 yr. architectural shingles of the homeowner’s color choice from a selection that the contractor provides. All work must have permit pulled before work starts.
