Specifications include, but are not limited to: Lake County is interested in purchasing Bulk Rock Salt for snow and ice control, meeting with the requirements of AASHTO SPECIFICATION M143, SODIUM CHLORIDE TYPE 1, GRADE 1. This bid is to furnish and deliver the specified Bulk Rock Salt. The Lake County Division of Transportation, and other specified Local Governmental Units, will be participating in this joint purchase venture. Lake County and other Local Governmental Units will be procuring salt for all winter maintenance uses for County and Local Governmental Units to provide road salt for the safety of the traveling public on Lake County roadways. All freight and delivery charges shall be included in the bid prices.
