Specifications include, but are not limited to: It is the intention of the Tucson Unified School District to purchase services to provide Governing Board governance consulting services. The Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) is undertaking an initiative to enhance its governance capacity and execution. The initiative will use a Policy Governance model, or a model based on the principles of Policy Governance, to strengthen the TUSD Governing Board's (Board) ability to govern effectively, including reviewing and updating the Board's role and work, fine-tuning the Board's governing structure and procedures, and enhancing Board involvement in true strategic planning and performance oversight. The consultant should bring substantial experience in assisting publicly-elected boards and Superintendents/CEOs to develop board leadership and build a solid board/superintendent partnership using the principles based on Policy Governance.
