PHASE 1: Design Services Conduct all design activities related to the replacement of the control valves and assist in the development of select solicitation documents. A. Provide the necessary personnel, materials, equipment, and transportation required to perform a comprehensive audit of the existing control valves and associated piping and electrical connections in accordance with accepted professional engineering practices. B. Make recommendations based on findings during the comprehensive audit. C. Develop specifications and final design drawings including, but not limited to: a. Plan and profile views b. Cross sections c. Typical details d. Special provisions D. Prepare a Project Cost Estimate based on the proposed design. PHASE 2: Construction Bid Assistance The City will administer the bid and award processes. Presence by the Engineer is not required at the public reading of the names of the respondents. The Engineer shall: A. Attend a pre-bid meeting/site visit and respond to technical questions from Contractors.
