• Provide data-supported insights from user groups and community priorities and perspectives. • Analyze the level of service being provided to the community and as compared to similarly situated communities with municipal Parks and Recreation Departments. • Identify related administration and management tasks to achieve potential National and State Accreditations in Parks and Recreation. • Evaluate available resources and identify the most strategic investments involving current Village facilities in order to provide optimal programs and services. • Review and work with the Village’s Pool Consultants to review previous reports of the pool and assess the infrastructure of the event venue at Katherine Legge Memorial Park to provide recommendations on facility improvements that aligns with community needs. • Develop a strategic action plan that the Village of Hinsdale Parks and Recreation Commission will provide input on and the Village Board of Trustees will approve. • Develop a comprehensive maintenance and end of life/replacement plan for current park amenities and structures, which should include budgetary costs and recommended replacement timeline. • Identify possible playground equipment that can be repurposed or used in the redevelopment of said structures (when feasible, please indicate pricing/feasible numbers). • Inventory all current park amenities, age, and overall usage of said amenities. • This should include playgrounds, basketball courts, tennis/pickle ball courts, ball fields, walking paths, tables, benches, bleachers. signage, parking, and buildings • Evaluate recreational programming and provide data regarding utilization and alignment with community needs and opportunities. • Evaluation and review of turf conditions, which should asses overall turf improvement, evaluation of mowing, fertilization or weed management. Additionally, community feedback on having artificial turf for sport fields. • Overall evaluation of field usage in recreational programs, rentals, tournaments and etc. • Review of current lighting conditions and additional needs of the community. • Evaluation of bathroom placements/needs of bathrooms and portable potties through the park system. • Evaluation parking throughout the parks system (during high usage, game days and otherwise). • Assessment of current Village dog ordnances in parks and KLM dog area policies compared to surrounding communities.
