Specifications include, but are not limited to: A qualified snow removal contractor to supplement City crews during winter snow operations for parking lots and roadways. The successful bidder shall furnish all labor, fuel, supplies, and equipment to provide the City of Crystal Lake with supplemental snow removal services at twenty-three (23) public parking lots for the 2018/2019 winter season, with the option to extend the contract for the next two snow seasons (2019/2020 and 2020/2021). It is the specific intent that each of these lots is to be cleared of snow and salted prior to the designated time so that parking is available for commuters and business patrons. Snow is to be plowed to specified locations within each parking lot or area within street side parking for removal by City forces at a later time. All snow shallbe piled on designated paved areas or parking stalls only. Snow shall notbe pushed onto landscaped or grassy areas. During the past three years, snowplowing services have been needed, on average, two to five times per season. The City can make no guarantee as to either the minimum or maximum number of snowplowing occurrences during the contract period.
