The proposed work consists of cold milling the existing asphalt surface, PCC patching the existing roadway and paving a 2.5” depth HMA Surface Course, along with removal and replacement of sidewalk curb ramps, additional sidewalk, signal video detection equipment and traffic control, officially known as the VILLAGE OF CHATHAM PLUMMER BOULEVARD- HMA MILL AND OVERLAY, Chatham, Illinois. The project shall consist of saw cutting, cold milling and disposal of existing HMA surface course, placement of temporary ramps, PCC Patching, overlay of existing pavement with a 2.5” depth HMA Surface Course, removal and replacement of ADA sidewalk ramps and adjacent curb, installation of new sidewalk, furnishing and installation of signal video detection system and all traffic control along Plummer Boulevard and adjacent to the work. The length of the project is 0.99 miles. All work shall be in accordance with the contract documents and details and shall be performed in accordance with the Illinois Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for the work and materials specified. Construction Layout and site QA/QC shall be performed by the Contractor. All labor and materials are included as part of this Request for Proposals and shall be subject to the Illinois Department of Labor Prevailing Wages for such work. As a condition of this contract, all work shall be performed by a Prime contractor prequalified by the State of Illinois to do work for the Illinois Department of Transportation, including subcontractors.
