Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Illinois Department of Transportation (Agency) seeks Vendor(s) for the Replacement, Repairs, and Servicing of Overhead Garage Doors with Agency Facilities within the geographic areas of Districts 2 through 9. Vendor can submit a bid for a specific geographic District. This is a Multiple Award Contract. Vendors shall be responsible to adhering to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Policy when applicable. Illinois Department of Transportation Overhead Garage Doors are critical for allowing highway maintenance vehicles or other vehicles to perform duties and may be critical during winter operations. Overhead Garage Doors will maintain the structures from deteriorating from weather infiltration as well as secure premises from unwanted intruders and potential cause of damage. Damaged, misaligned, and antiquated door systems have an adverse effect on the safety of personnel, the integrity of the facilities, the security of equipment and personnel, and the Agency’s energy-saving efforts. Work is to include the removal, disposal, and installation of existing doors and operators. Successful Vendor(s) are responsible for verifying all door measurements, and operator information. Incidental work to be included as part of this contract is any electrical wiring and connections to meet current electrical codes. All wiring is to be in a conduit. This procurement is time sensitive and critical to the mission of the agency, and special consideration is required due to the best interest of the State. This solicitation is set-aside for qualified Illinois small business that are certified in the Small Business Set-Aside Program. Vendors shall be registered and certified through the Illinois Procurement Gateway (IPG) at the time of bid opening
