The CITY is soliciting statements of qualifications from professional engineering firms for On-Call Professional Engineering services of various disciplines, and other related supplemental services on a non-exclusive arrangement. The hired firm will be expected to aid with projects that the CITY either does not have the resources or expertise to complete. The selected firm(s) will have a strong emphasis and understanding of IDOT policy and procedures regarding MFT, state and federal funds. The selected firm(s) will have an extensive background with the inner workings of city government as it relates to the Engineering, Wastewater, Parks and Recreation departments. Listed below are categories of services the CITY may request or require. This list is not exhaustive and is provided only as a representation of the potential types of work the awarded firm may be required to complete. The final Scope of Services is subject to change, following the selection process and negotiations with the awarded firm. A. Plan Review The selected firm(s) may be required to review building plans and drawings of all types and varieties submitted to the CITY from various builders and developers. This may include, but shall not be limited to, preliminary and final plats and major and minor site plans. B. Stormwater Management Systems and Erosion The selected firm(s) may be required to develop plans and drawings for upgrades or improvements for all components of the City’s stormwater system including curb inlets, drains, piping, and stormwater retention basins and ponds. The selected firm may also be required to provide guidance regarding erosion control.
