The Illinois Secretary of State (ILSOS) is soliciting bids to purchase an IBM z16 3931-A01 (max 39) 411 (295 MSUs) and a TS7700 VTS for the setup of a Disaster Recovery (henceforth referenced as “DR”) environment to support an active redundant DR infrastructure. Vendor must also fully configure new hardware and fully test in production (for a minimum of 2 weeks) after completion. ILSOS also requires full services and project management for setting up the following: The setup and configuration of z 16 and DR CBU and Flex Capacity records on the new and current system. Setup of VTS, validation of connectivity, communication and support required when configuring replication across the current VTS and conversion from Boulder DR to new system DR. Vendors must be a certified “System z” business partner of IBM. All equipment must be new. Refurbished equipment will not be accepted.
