Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor shall provide turf mowing services for the Village of Mokena and the mowing season shall be April 3, 2023 through October 27, 2023 for Year One and April 8, 2024 through November 1, 2024 for Year two, with a an option to renew multiple years with (1) year increments. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment and materials necessary to perform work according to the agreement. 1) Clean lawn and general areas of all leaves and winter debris and properly dispose of at the beginning of each mowing season. 2) Mow the required complexes and detention/retention facilities weekly. 3) All excess lawn clippings and landscape debris shall be removed from the mowed area. No wind furrows or clumps of excess lawn shall be allowed. 4) Trimming in and around all parking lot islands, ponds (Except for Natural grasses and plants that maintain the integrity of the pond shoreline), in and around all sidewalks and driveways shall be done with each mowing, using a standard string trimmer. 5) All paper and other debris shall be picked up and properly disposed of before each mowing in all areas in this contract, especially around the islands and bushes in the Metra Lots, Village Hall, Police Station, ESDA Building, Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) and easements and ponds. 6) Mowing of the turf shall be approximately 2.5 inches.
