This work consists of the demolition of the existing 18 span, 1,376’ x 62’ Kirk Road bridge (S.N. 045- 3096) and the construction of three single span bridges (S.N. 045-3133 over Reed Road, S.N. 045-3134 over UPRR, and S.N. 045-3186 over White’s Creek), along with mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) retaining walls. Full roadway pavement removal and replacement will include the addition of a third thru lane, traffic signal modernizations, a multi-use path extending from IL Routte 38 to Cherry Lane, storm sewer replacement, construction of a detention pond, existing pond modifications, earthwork, pavement markings, landscaping, and all other work necessary to complete the project as shown on the plans and as described herein.
