PLOWING Plowing operations to clear the entire location shall begin immediately during an event if event occurs during normal business hours as listed under the “Normal Business Hours” section. Plowing shall prioritize main drives and ADA parking spots. See attached documents “ITB – MainStreetScope,” and “ITB – JohnStreetScope” for relevant maps. If event occurs outside of normal business hours, then all locations shall be cleared of snow prior to 7:00 a.m. during normal business days of all Kendall County Facilities. Note: 24/7 Facilities must be maintained at all times and do not follow the 7:00 a.m. deadline. Care shall be taken to not damage surrounding turf and curbs. Salting of sidewalks and doorways shall be performed by KCFM unless directed to perform by the KCFM Director or his designee. Special care must be taken to avoid using plows to clear any pavers present on County property. Drainage areas and sidewalk approaches must be kept free from snow stockpiles. Snow stockpiles must not hinder views for turning vehicles by city street corners or interiors of the parking lots. See attached documents “ITB – MainStreetScope,” and “ITB – JohnStreetScope,” for Kendall County’s preferred areas to stockpile snow labeled as “Snow Drop Location.” All loss or damage caused by the Vendor including, but not limited to any damage caused to Vendor’s equipment during the performance of the work or otherwise shall be repaired at Vendor’s expense. Any damage caused by Vendor to the County’s parking lots, curbs, islands, sidewalks, buildings, and/or other County property may be repaired by the County, in its sole discretion, and either deducted from the payment owed to the Vendor or will be billed to Vendor. SALTING All parking lot surfaces are to be plowed and treated with Sodium Chloride road salt, the entire width (curb to curb) as needed throughout the entire storm or as directed by the KCFM Director or his designee. The Vendor is responsible to push back or remove snow to make room for the next storm. Snow will be relocated so as not to be placed on private or public streets, sidewalks, brick paver areas and plant materials. Snow shall not be placed on corners creating line of site safety concerns for vehicles. Salting shall occur when one of the following conditions occur: ▪ Prior to all snowstorm events when applicable ▪ Prior to and during all Trace events ▪ During freezing rain events ▪ Immediately following plowing operations ▪ In the event of any refreeze from snow melt ▪ As directed by the KCFM Director or his designee
