The primary objective of this Request for Proposal is to establish a contract for supplying and servicing the State of Illinois agencies with fleet fuel cards, as described herein, to provide access to fuel for the State's fleet of vehicles. This will include, but is not limited to passenger cars, vans, trucks, and some off-road equipment such as mower and tractors. The fleet fuel card must be accepted in the State of Illinois in a manner that mirrors the way in which all major credit cards are accepted. The vendor pays the fuel station vendors and in turn, bills state agencies and other entities by vehicle and by billing account for purchases using the card. Central Management Services, Division of Vehicles (DOV), seeks a vendor that will provide fleet card services used to purchase primarily fuel and vehicle-related goods (e.g., wiper blades) and services (e.g., oil changes) from commercial establishments generally within the State of Illinois. The intent is to obtain the most cost-effective Fleet Fuel Card Service for the State while maximizing the quality and level of service. The State will award the option which best serves the State’s interests.
