Specifications include, but are not limited to: Introduction The City of Rock Island is requesting bids from contractors for a rehabilitation project at a house located at 3507 43rd Street. This owner-occupied property will be undergoing rehabilitation using Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funds to ameliorate deteriorating and deteriorated conditions. All work shall be subject to HUD 35.930 and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations. Remove existing shingles, flashing, and roof edge. Install ice and snow guard along the bottom edge of roof and in all the valleys. Install water barrier over entire roof per code. Install new 2” style D roof metal edging. Install new 30-year architectural singles, homeowners color of choice from a standard selection that the contractor will provide. New plumbing boots around roof penetrations. There is existing ridge vent that will not be reused. Make sure the ridge cut backs are to the new shingle over vents manufactures specifications. Clean all debris out of all the gutters when roof is completed. Remove exterior basement wood door and frame. Install new steel door with adjustable threshold and matching keyed lockset and deadbolt. Permit is required before the start of work
