Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor shall, as an independent contractor and not as an agent of METRA, provide all permits, labor, tools, equipment, insurance, transportation, and facilities, etc. necessary for Construction Services for general carpentry, office space demolition, building repair, painting, flooring installation, flooring repair, interior/exterior window improvements, window blinds installation, marble restoration, and door improvements as directed. Anticipated work shall include providing all supervision, labor, equipment, materials, and all other items required to provide interior construction services on an as-needed basis, including transportation costs, tools, apparatus, protection, permits/certifications/insurance/bonds, shipping costs, and services necessary for and reasonably incidental to the proper execution and completion of all services as indicated. A. The Contractor shall be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and provide service in an emergency situation within two (2) hours of notification. B. Normal work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Services are to be performed during normal work hours when possible; if services outside normal work hours are required to complete work, the contractor must receive written authorization from the General Manager or the on-site building engineer prior to the commencement of any overtime work. C. The Contractor’s actual billable time shall be monitored by the access control security system of the building. Labor rate charges are made only for time worked at Metra’s headquarters.
