Southwestern Illinois Correctional Center is looking for a qualified and certified Vendor that shall supply all equipment and services to complete the inspection and cleaning of the hood suppression system located in the Dietary kitchen area located at Southwestern Illinois Correctional Center. Inspections must comply with NFPA regulations and must be performed by a NFPA certified professional. Upon completion of the inspection, a report shall be provided to Chief Engineer and Business Administrator at Southwestern Illinois Correctional Center. Hood cleaning consists of one (1) large double hood and one (1) single hood (K-Tech brand) and two (2) exhaust fans must be cleaned in accordance with NFPA-96, section 11.6.1. Hood cleaning includes wiping out, scraping, and polishing entire hood area and accessible areas of duct work. Outside cleaning includes exterior of fans, flipping to clean underside of fans, if possible. The entire exhaust system shall be cleaned by a properly trained, qualified, and certified company or person(s) acceptable to the authority having jurisdiction in accordance with NFPA-96, Section 11.4. Hoods, grease removal devices, fans, ducts, and other appurtenances shall be cleaned to remove combustible contaminants.
