SCOPE OF WORK OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE: Lawrence Correctional Center is seeking to perform pest control extermination services and prevention along with ongoing treatment for re-infestations of pests including termite treatment, if needed. The duration of this service agreement is for a three (3) year period. SUPPLIES AND/OR SERVICES REQUIRED: The Vendor shall provide extermination services to Lawrence Correctional Center to effectively control and eliminate ants, roaches, birds, silverfish, hornets, bees, wasps, mites, lice, termites, flies, rodents (mice and rats), and occasional invaders such as crickets, spiders, and other pests as needed. The word “control” is defined as the elimination of existing infestations and the prevention of re-infestation with practical limits. Additional related extermination services not covered by this agreement may be done at the request of Lawrence Correctional Center and compensation will be made at the agreed upon rate. The Vendor shall furnish skilled service, labor, materials, pest control substances, tools, equipment, insurance permits, and fees (if any) necessary to accomplish total pest control. Services are to be provided by a Certified Pest Control Technician. Chemical pesticides and other pest controls shall be used in a safe manner and applied intelligently and comprehensively for efficient and effective pest control. The Vendor shall ensure all professional liability regarding the safe application of pesticides. The Vendor shall perform a thorough inspection of all areas of Lawrence Correctional Center to be serviced prior to service initiation to become familiar with the area of service and the requirements by area. The Vendor shall provide service for all hallways, rooms, closets, etc., at the locations specified below on a monthly basis. Areas used for food storage and food preparation will be serviced as follows: a) at a time when the dietary kitchen is closed; or b) between meals when all food handling and dishwashing activities have ceased and foods are adequately protected, and when there is sufficient time for food contact surfaces at risk are to be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized prior to resuming food service preparation. Vendor will also service any area requested by the Center for continued treatment by the Center, i.e., mouse glue boards. The below locations will be serviced on a monthly basis: Gatehouse Administrative Building including all offices and visiting room areas. Gymnasiums and Chapel including all associated offices and common areas. Multipurpose Building with special attention to Dietary, Commissary, and Healthcare including all associated offices and common areas. Vocational Building including all associated offices and common areas. Cell houses and all associated offices and common areas.
