Specifications include, but are not limited to: Repair failed portion of sanitary sewer service line. 1. Contractor shall provide and install all materials, labor, and excavation services. 2. Preconstruction meeting with Sewer and Building Departments is required. 3. Install proper sized "twist plug" in abandoned sewer connection in manhole. 4. Addmortar/waterstop around old service after the twist plug is installed. 5. Excavate front yard to accommodate new service line approximately 37’‐40’. 6. Bed the service line with CA6 gravel or equivalent. 7. Installnew6‐inchschedule40seweronthepublicmainclay10’northofexistingmanhole. 8. Installnew4‐inchby8‐inchsaddletaporequivalentonpublicmainclaysewer,10‐feetnorthof existingmanhole. 9. Connect 4‐inch schedule 40 PVC pipe with ground level cleanout to existing 4‐inch castiron at building drain location in front of dwelling. 10. Backfillthe service line anticipating settlement overthe winter. Trench backfillshall be of clean fill, and the top 12” shall be of clean topsoil.
