Specifications include, but are not limited to: Grade Crossing Remote Monitoring Solution and service agreement. The solution is intended to serve as a framework for all remote monitoring needs of the wayside under the purview of the Signal department. The envisioned framework needs to be modular in such a way as to allow for expansion to monitor assets such as: 1. Grade Crossings 2. PTC Wayside Systems 3. Snow Melter Systems 4. Track Circuits 5. Switch Machines 6. Power Systems Therefore, the solution is envisioned to be of a compartmentalized nature and that would operate on a single wayside computer at individual wayside locations. The solution requires an on-premises back-office server, a user-interface via an internet browser and mobile application and be able to gain access to external clouds for data such as video. In addition to being able to monitor statuses, functionalities such as log retrieval, remote software distribution, and other focus specific requirements will be required.
