OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE: The IEPA laboratory intends to purchase 2 Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometers (GC/MS). One will be part of our instrument replacement plan. The other will meet a new Agency requirement to test for 1, 4 Dioxane. The lab will run USEPA Methods 525.3 and 548 on one instrument and run USEPA Method 522 on the other instrument. SUPPLIES AND/OR SERVICES REQUIRED: 1.2.1 The vendor shall provide two GC/MS instruments. Each instrument will be dual column with a switch valve enabling two columns with one MS. The vendor shall provide two auto injectors to allow an injection into each column. Each auto injector must be capable of supporting at least 150 2-mL auto sampler vials. 1.2.2 The vendor shall ensure that all USEPA and National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Conference (NELAC) Quality Control parameters are met for EPA Methods 525.3, 548 and 522. The vendor shall ensure that all USEPA and National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Conference (NELAC) Quality Control (QC) parameters are met for EPA Methods 525.3, 548 and 522. Some analytes may require lower sensitivity then those listed in the Method. Those analytes must also meet QC parameters. 1.2.3 The vendor shall ensure that IEPA computer systems and software are compatible and can upload data from instrument file to Promium Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz, 500 GB HD, 32 GB RAM or better. The system software must be Mass Hunter or convert to Mass Hunter to align with other instruments, making data processing continuous and overlapping data functions will be without interruptions. 1.2.4 The instruments must include a two-year warranty that includes all parts and labor, and the warranty period will begin upon successful installation of the instrument and options for a second and third year. 1.2.5 All user manuals and documents must be included with the instruments. 1.2.6 Phone assistance from the vendor for troubleshooting and repair must be available for the life of the instrument. 1.2.7 The instruments must meet the specifications after installation and on-site evaluation by the laboratory staff before the instruments are accepted.
