Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Portable and self-contained including programming interface, sample compartment and power source. 2. Programmable and capable of drawing samples at preset and variable intervals. 3. Ability to draw a single container composite sample over a minimum period of twenty-four (24) hours with a minimum total sample volume of two gallons. 4. At the programmer’s option, the ability to draw samples in equal volume aliquots at programmable time intervals or draw samples flow proportionally. 5. Capable of operating accurately under a variety of weather conditions including: o Precipitation (rain and snow) o Humidity up to 100% o Air temperatures ranging from -18 to 49 degrees Celsius (0 – 120 degrees Fahrenheit) 6. Ability to draw samples from a maximum depth of sixty (60) feet and/or compatible with an external pump system which would make it possible to draw samples from a maximum depth of sixty (60) feet. 7. The automatic sampler must be capable of performing hazardous materials/pollutant sampling. 8. The sample compartment must be able to hold refrigerant (ice, ice packs) for the purpose of preserving the acquired samples or be a self-refrigerating unit with minimal additional power requirements. 9. Capable of being suspended inside a manhole while sampling is being performed with additional equipment included with the purchase of the automatic sampler itself.
