Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Illinois Department of Natural Resources will accept Bids from potential Bidders for the operation of the Grand Marias Golf Course at Frank Holten State Park located in Centerville, IL, an 18-hole public golf course on 183 acres. It has a 9,600 square foot club house that includes the pro-shop, office and storage room, and Golf Course operations, that are all housed in the lower level. (NOTICE: The upper level of the Club House contains a restaurant/banquet room that is surrounded by an outside balcony. The Banquet room, restaurant, and balcony area, none of which are currently open, are NOT a part of this solicitation.). The golf course also includes ponds on the course and a surrounding lake, an irrigation system, a driving range, and a putting green. There is a large (approximately 2,105.8 sq. feet) open-air shelter located by the clubhouse used by daily golfers and golf outings, and a large parking lot for golf course and clubhouse guests. A golf cart storage area under the building is capable of holding about 60 carts. VENDORS, NOTE: During the initial year of this contract, there will be a project underway to build a storage pole barn near the Site Office and the current DNR Storage Shed, just south of the Clubhouse. This building will be for the use of the Vendor, when completed. The approximate size of the storage pole barn is 50 X 36 X 14. It is anticipated that this project will be completed in summer 2020 and should not affect play. The vendor will be authorized to charge a fee to the public to play golf, rent the golf course out for golf outings, sell golf apparel and equipment, sell, serve or dispense food, confections, ice, hot and cold non-alcoholic beverages, and alcoholic beverages if properly licensed. The vendor shall keep all revenues generated. IDNR will pay the selected vendor a monthly management fee to operate the golf course, per the specifications provided. The successful bidder shall provide all furniture, fixtures, equipment, TV dish/reception system, telephone system, golf carts, mowers, other golf course maintenance equipment and any other incidental miscellaneous articles that are required for the proper operation of the golf course and clubhouse.
