1.2.1. Vendor shall furnish adequate labor, material and equipment to adhere to all specifications of the contract and provide the following services: 1.2.1.1. Snow removal shall commence when the local snow accumulation reaches one (1) inch or upon the district’s request. 1.2.1.2. Snow plowing shall be accomplished by the Vendor to maintain safe passage for access to the building, parking areas, roadways, approaches, vehicular court, walkways (see D1 Snow Removal Attachment A for walkway locations), etc., as needed. 1.2.1.3. De-icing shall commence as necessary to maintain safe passage on all paved areas, parking areas, driveways, approaches, walkways, etc. 1.2.1.3.1 Environmentally friendly de-icing products that will not damage concrete entrances, walkways, and steps, shall be used to prevent ice buildups. All chemicals used shall, at a minimum, comply with State of Illinois environmental regulations and local codes. 1.2.1.4. Snow shall be piled in the most remote area of the lots or stockpiled only in those areas approved by the District or designee. Some instances it may require that snow be removed from the premises the same day. 1.2.1.5. Snow shall be pushed off roads, parking areas, walkways, etc. without blocking traffic, parking spaces, pedestrian thoroughfares or impeding the visibility of vehicular operators, pedestrians, or creating a safety hazard. 1.2.1.6. The District will provide two (2) designated parking spaces where vendor will be allowed to store equipment on site.
