Vendor shall perform monthly haircutting/styling services to resident population served. Total number of residents served is approximately 100 Vendor shall perform services on the respective residential units, or in the onsite barber shop located within Pearson Administration Building as needed. Each resident is entitled to one haircut and styling approximately every 6 weeks. In the event a haircut is deemed not to be needed for a resident, such shall be documented by the barber/beautician and provided to the Mabley Center Business Administrator. Vendor shall provide all tools and equipment related to their trade (i.e., clippers, scissors, combs, brushes, etc.). Vendor shall maintain compliance with the standards for service for Developmentally Disabled as described by the Developmental Disabilities Council. Vendor shall maintain compliance with all applicable State and Federal Laws, rules and standards including, but not limited to OSHA. Vendor shall maintain a valid and current license to perform barber/beautician services in the State of Illinois. Vendor must satisfactorily complete a background check in accordance with Mabley Center and State of Illinois guidelines. Vendor shall observe and obey all traffic regulations of the Mabley Center and lock unattended vehicles. Vehicles in violation of the Mabley Center regulations may be towed from the grounds at the owner’s expense. Vendor shall observe and obey all rules and regulations applicable to the Mabley Center employees, including State, civil and Mabley Center rules and regulations. It is the Vendor’s responsibility to become familiar with these rules and regulations and to appropriately instruct their staff. The schedule for provision of barber/beautician services is flexible but must be performed monthly. The Jack Mabley Developmental Center’s standard hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. Exact schedule can be formally established upon selection of winning bidder.
