SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS A. Price. All prices quoted shall be firm and fixed for the length of the contract. B. Method of Ordering. Orders will be electronically transmitted to contractor via email on a weekly basis. C. Delivery. Delivery is required within ten (14) calendar days after receipt of order. D. Fit of Clothing. All trousers and shirts shall utilize patterns which provide sufficient room for comfortable donning and wear in extreme utilization conditions, such as firefighting. Trousers and shirts shall be sized and cut to allow movement and comfort. E. Extended Sizes. Please include any additional costs associated with larger sizes on a separate sheet, if applicable. F. Fitting and Alterations. The successful bidder will be required to provide a contracted local vendor, for measuring new hires and miscellaneous alterations, with skilled full time workers (preferably open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) on weekdays where inventory can be maintained while in the alteration phase, measurements can be taken, alterations made and badges/insignias can be sewn on. The shop or agency shall be within 15 miles of the Rockford Fire Department headquarters. The name, address, and phone number of this location shall be specified on the bid form, or the bid shall be rejected. Any alterations on new garments are to be made at no additional cost to the City. G. Evaluation Literature. Bidder shall include with bid the manufacturer’s technical or detailed product literature to evaluate the products offered. Literature is required only on items where a brand is not specified or a vendor is proposing an alternate product. Bids without this product information may be considered non-responsive and rejected. H. Samples. A sample may be requested of each offered garment for all items where a brand is not already specified or a vendor is proposing an alternate product. IV. CLOTHING DESCRIPTION – CATEGORY 1 A. Administration Trouser Men's and Women’s 1. Fechheimer brand, Prime Flex, Men's #P17200 / Women's #P17200w 2. The fabric shall be 74% poly, 24% wool, 2% Lycra, 4-harness twill fabric/hem to length. 3. The fabric shall be dark navy blue in color. 4. The trousers shall be available in men’s waist sizes 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, and even waist sizes from 38 to 50 with even inseams from 30 to 40 inches, and women’s even sizes 6 through 24 with inseams from 28 to 36 inches. Other trousers dimensions shall be graded appropriately. 5. The pockets shall be designed for extended wear. Measures shall be taken to prevent the development of holes. Pocket liners shall be the same color as the outside pant material. 6. A silicone shirtlock, or acceptable alternate, shall be provided. 7. A slide fastener (zipper) shall be provided, graded appropriately. The zipper shall be solid brass and designed to provide long service without breakage. 8. The waist closure shall be a hook and bar mounted to the waistband. A supplemental button shall be provided. 9. Belt loops shall be provided and shall accommodate a two-inch belt. The loops shall be bar tacked at the top and bottom to prevent tears. A minimum of five loops shall be provided on men’s sizes 30 and below, seven loops shall be provided for men’s sizes between 32 and 42, and nine loops shall be provided for men’s sizes 44 and above. Five loops shall be provided for women’s sizes 10 and below, seven shall be provided for sizes 12 and above. 10. Belt loops shall have a minimum finished size of 2-1/4” by 9/16”
