The Port of Detroit is seeking proposals from qualified railcar mover manufacturers or marine engineering firms to design, build, and deliver one railcar mover. The Port of Detroit requires a proposal for one (1) railcar mover to support our operational needs. As part of this request, vendors are also asked to provide pricing for two (2) units, to assess potential volume discounts or cost efficiencies associated with a multi-unit purchase. The preferred specifications are provided below but other similar specifications may be acceptable. Multiple models may be submitted for consideration. Final selection will be based on operational suitability, technical compliance, and adherence to applicable federal requirements such as Buy America and Build America provisions.
