Specifications include, but are not limited to:The State of Illinois, Department of Natural Resources (DNR), will accept proposals from responsible Vendors interested in the operation of a concession facility/complex which includes cabin rentals, operation of a public swimming pool and a camp store at Eldon Hazlett State Park located in Carlyle, Illinois. The complex at Eldon Hazlet consists of twenty cabins, six single units and seven duplexes. There is a large public swimming pool with pool buildings and a campstore located by the pool buildings which has cooking equipment and public laundry facilities. Each unit can accommodate up to four persons comfortably. Cabin accommodations include a kitchenette with a microwave, stove, refrigerator, tableware, cookware and utensils, a bedroom, secluded loft, living area and a full bathroom. Gas log fireplaces are available in most units. Each cabin has a covered porch and is a short walk to private boat docks in a cove. There is a community pavilion with picnic tables, barbeque grills and a playground. The vendor will be authorized to SEQ CHAPTER \h \r 1rent cabins, sell, serve or dispense food, hot and cold beverages, confections, souvenirs, newspapers, picnic and camping supplies and sell Illinois Lottery Tickets. Eldon Hazlet State Park is a 3,000 acre park located 3 miles north of Carlyle and 2 miles east of Illinois Route 127 in Clinton County. Eldon Hazlet State Park is located on the west shores of Carlyle Lake which is the largest manmade lake in Illinois at 26,000 acres. Outdoor activities include class A and C camping areas with 3 shower buildings, swimming, boating with boat launch ramps, fishing, hunting, bird watching and hiking on the more than 9 miles of trails. There are also sailboat regattas held almost every summer weekend. Park attendance in 2013was 546,828 1.2 DESCRIPTION OF LEASEHOLD OFFERING: The nature of this leasehold offering is a concession lease for eight (8) years with an option to renew for an additional five (5) years at the discretion of DNR. The Vendor is expected to manage operations of the cabins, campstore and swimming facilities and be open to the general public as required. Vendor may provide goods/services to patrons of SEQ CHAPTER \h \r 1the park to include: food service, hot and cold beverages, bait, marine supplies, camping supplies and fishing supplies, confections, and other appropriate business, social and recreational activities.
