a. Utilizing available horizontal control and GPS survey equipment, conduct a field ground survey to measure and obtain certain planimetric features within the rightof-way. Prepare a topographic survey which will include the following content requirements identified below: • The plan sheet scale shall be 1”-20’ horizontal and 1”= 5’ vertical in the English system. The plan sheet size shall be 24” x 36”. All drawings shall be performed in the latest version of AutoCAD. b. Topographic and planimetric information such as pavement, existing sidewalks, driveways, fence lines, traffic signals, and existing structures will be located. Elevations obtained at regular intervals will identify generic type of construction features noted such as concrete walls or existing sidewalks. Limits of the survey will be commensurate to the planned location of the proposed construction. A full right-of-way survey may be required for special managed areas to comply with stormwater permitting. c. Locate right-of-way marks or monuments, that are readily visible at the ground surface. Existing right-of-way will be drawn on the base sheets based on existing plans to be provided by the City and checked against found monumentation. d. Provide structural engineering review for potential repairs to components related to the sub-structure of the pedestrian bridge. • Prepare final engineering plans and specifications for bidding. • Attend a kick-off meeting and secondary coordination meeting with City staff. • Prepare an engineer’s estimate of probable cost. • Determine methods and means for repairs to determine if stormwater permitting is required. • Coordinate and attend pre-application meetings with DuPage County . • Prepare permits for construction access on property owned by the Illinois Department of Transportation. • Provide specifications for construction methods and means to avoid storage of materials in the floodplain and floodway. • If any disturbance in the floodplain is proposed, then an as-built survey is required to be included in this cost proposal.
