Replace all the existing clay from house out to the main with new PVC. The front porch has the sewer line and the water service running directly under. Use approved saddle to tie in PVC to the main. There is a clean out with in 5’ of the exterior wall in the basement currently. If the old sewer connection at the main has to be abandoned then approved patch on the main will be required with concrete around the patch. The PVC line must be fully supported in undisturbed soil or compacted rock along the trench for the length of the new line. Inspection will be needed once connections have been made before back filling. The back fil will need to be fill sand and compacted in lifts leaving 12” for top soil. The yard will be graded and seeded when the projects finished. Any sections sidewalk taken out will need to be replaced. The street, curb, and gutter taken out shall be replaced blended back in to existing. Concrete can be used for the street repair blending to existing surface unless told otherwise by the City of Rock Island Public Works Division. For the final street patch edges must be cut and squared up before pouring the final concrete. All remaining spoils will need to be removed from the site. Plumbing permit and excavation permit are required before digging begins.
