Specifications include, but are not limited to: University’s Need for Supplies / Services: IPHEC is requesting responses for disaster recovery and responses for all participating member locations for their academic buildings, libraries, museums, research laboratories, data centers, and other facilities located at various locations across the State of Illinois across each of the public higher education institutions. Examples of these facilities include, but are not limited to: • University Libraries University Museums —facilities housing fine arts, ethnographical and archaeological collections, rare books, in addition to off-site storage. • Research Institutes — Research institutes that participates in research, including sensitive electronic, radioactive isotopes, biological and other experiments. • Super Computer Facilities — • UIC Hospitals and Clinics • Aviation facilities • University Student Health Services • University Student Housing – traditional and non-traditional apartments and housing. • University Power back up (generators) • University Power Plants and related facilities • University Stadium and like building and facilities • University Academic Buildings Successful Respondent(s) will be responsible for responding to those events where the services are deemed necessary by University or local authorities and shall respond on site with the necessary response personnel to begin effective recovery services within a minimum of 24-hours from the time of initial contact. Successful Respondent(s) will be responsible for all necessary disaster recovery services and for items as water and fire damage losses—both man-made and natural. Successful Respondent(s) may also be required to provide services such as water extraction, drying of structure and contents, debris removal, etc. Successful Respondent(s) will not be responsible for any structural construction.
