However, all substitutions must be approved prior to the final submission of the RFP. JOB DESCRIPTION 1. Barricade off the working area. 2. Dispose of all construction materials. 3. Provide your own equipment for construction. 4. Repair 240 linear FT of 2x8 framing from storm damage 5. Replace 900 sq. ft. of 1x6 tongue and groove planking from storm damage. 6. Add hurricane clips on all overhangs. 7. Remove the existing EPDM and asphalt roof system and all related components to underlying polyisocyanurate insulation and remove them from the job site for disposal. 8. Roof with DuroLast single ply 50 mil membrane in white, anchoring to new ½’’ O.S.B and tongue and groove planking through factory securement tabs 12" ‐ 18" on the center. Fastener spacing to be determined by manufacturer’s requirements based on field pull‐ tests. Fasteners will be DuroLast approved augers with steel plates. 9. Flash all roof obstructions with custom-made DuroLast components ‐ stacks, vents, parapet walls, etc., per manufacturer’s specifications. 10. Install two-way vents at the density of one per 1000 square feet for the relief of humidity developed within the roof system during winter use of the structure. 11. Fall protection – Safety plan varies from project to project, depending on job conditions: a. Flat or low slope roof, no walls: Require warning lines 6’ in from the building perimeter in the area of work. Personnel leaving the enclosed area wear properly secured ropes with harnesses, or work in the presence of a safety monitor. b. Flat or low slope roof with walls: Install brackets and chain barricades on top of wall, to form continuous fall‐protection perimeter. c. Barrel or steep roofs: Install secured tie‐offs for safety ropes. All personnel wear harnesses and ropes during roofing installation, unless working on low‐sloped upper surfaces. d. Openings in roof over 2” wide in any direction will be covered to prevent falls through roof. 12. Whenever possible, all material will be stored on the rooftop. It will be placed away from roof edges and kept weighted or strapped down to avoid blow‐off or damage due to winds. 13. Replace 100 ft. of fascia and commercial box gutters to match existing ones. 14. Reinstall downspouts. 15. Paint/repair siding from storm damage.
