OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE: Pontiac Correctional Center is seeking bids for a two-month 80ft straight boom lift, a high flow skid steer with a cab, and 50-56ft telehandler with forks, delivery, and pickup for repairs to R&D building’s roof. SUPPLIES AND/OR SERVICES REQUIRED: Vendor shall provide one (1) 80ft diesel 4WD straight boom lift, one (1) 2400-2999 lbs. high flow skid steer with a cab, and (1) 10,000lbs, 50-56ft telehandler ROPs with forks for a 2-month period. If Straight boom lift, skid steer and telehandler rental is not needed, it may be cancelled at any time within those 2 months with no penalty. The rental must include all maintenance, parts and materials required for the 80 ft straight boom lift, skid steer with cab and telehandler operation. When a brand name or equal specification is used in a solicitation, the solicitation shall contain explanatory language that the use of a brand name is for the purpose of describing the standard of quality, performance, and characteristics desired and is not intended to limit or restrict competition. "Or equal" submissions will not be rejected because of minor differences in design, construction or features that do not affect the suitability of the product for its intended use. Burden of proof that the product is equal is on the bidder. Vendor shall maintain all required licensure and liability insurance for the rental forklift. MILESTONES AND DELIVERABLES: Unless otherwise agreed upon between the Vendor and the Facility, the rental of one (1) 80ft diesel 4WD straight boom lift, one (1) high flow skid steer with a cab, and (1) 10,000lbs, 50-56ft telehandler ROPs with forks shall be delivered to Pontiac Correctional Center within 3 (three) days of contract execution unless another timeframe is agreed upon between Vendor and Chief Engineer or Designee. Upon notice the (1) 80ft straight boom lift, one (1) 2400-2999 lbs. high flow skid steer with a cab, and (1) 10,000lbs, 50-56ft telehandler ROPs with forks is no longer needed, vendor must remove equipment within 48 hours of notice being given unless another timeframe is agreed upon between Vendor and Chief Engineer or Designee. All billing shall be monthly and shall be submitted to the Pontiac Correctional Center Business Office. Billing shall be itemized, showing dates of service, location of service, and type of service rendered. The Business Office must reconcile and approve all invoices before making payments to the vendor.
