Specifications include, but are not limited to: Remove existing Weil-McLain Natural Gas Boiler – Model 688 – (80% Efficiency), associated gas train, two (2) existing isolation valves, and dual pressure relief valves. Remove any unusable components from the site and discard per applicable EPA regulations. Furnish and install one (1) new low pressure, wet base, cast iron sectional boiler with power burner that pressurizes the firebox and operates under forced and balanced draft, with a minimum efficiency of 80%, on existing concrete pad. New unit to have a minimum output of 1,350,000 BTU, and include new simple programmable digital thermostat to be installed in place of existing wall mounted mercury thermostat. New burner is to be U. L. listed. New installation to include a new gas train with one (1) new pressure regulator and two (2) new brass ball valves. Tie in to existing gas line, flue (Selkirk Metalbestos with 304 Stainless Steel Sleeve), electrical, new thermostatic controls, and new single pressure relief valve. Provide and install new exterior weather and insect proof, stainless steel flue cap on existing flue. Provide any additional components for compliance with the Illinois State Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety act. Include new emergency boiler shutdown switch located near mechanical room exit. New emergency disconnect switch (panic button) type, signage, and location to meet the 2015 NBIC Code.
