The Illinois State Police (ISP) is contracting with a vendor to purchase our used firearms and ammo. The ISP has different firearms included in this purchase: Glock 22/23/27 and Glock 19/45 with Red Dot Sights, Remington 870 12 Gauge Pump Shotguns, Remington Wingmaster 12 Gauge Pump Shotguns, Mossberg 590 12 Gauge Shotguns, and a combination of Armalite and Bushmaster M4 Police Patrol Tactical Rifle Packages. In addition to, 40 caliber FMJ – Practice Ammo and 40 caliber JHP – Duty Ammo. The vendor will purchase the firearms and ammo, but also allow Sworn Officers and Retired Officers to purchase their duty weapon back within 60 days of notice to the Vendor. The ISP will tag the firearms that Sworn Officers/Retired Officers are wanting to purchase from them. After 60 days has passed, the vendor does not have to hold the firearm for the Officer. All serial numbers and associated accessories will be sent to the winning Vendor each time they have firearms to sell.
