The vendor shall provide a Boat Operator who is authorized by Local, State and Federal government requirements to operate the Bucket Boat. The Boat Operator shall be responsible for loading and unloading the Straight Boom Man Lift on and off the boat. Additionally, the Boat Operator shall have full working knowledge on how to operate the Straight Boom Man Lift. The Boat Operator shall provide training on both the Boat and Straight Boom Man Lift safety and operating procedures. The vendor shall provide personal floatation devices (PFD) to all occupants on the boat. The Boat Operator shall provide training to all occupants on the boat on how to use the PFD and emergency procedures during the operation of the boat. The Boat Operator shall be responsible for coordinating bridge inspections with the United States Coast Guard per Code of Federal Regulation, Title 33, Navigation and Navigable Waters. The Boat Operator shall be responsible for monitoring VHF-FM Marine Channel Sixteen (16) for waterway activities and move if a thirty (30) minute advance notice is provided to pass under the bridge. The Department shall be responsible for obtaining written authorization from the United States Coast Guard to perform bridge inspections within two (2) weeks of project start date.
