Specifications include, but are not limited to: Chicago Public Schools is seeking to contract with vendors to provide daytime custodial services including school opening, meal set up, portering duties, applicable custodial day snow removal, and light cleaning; and afternoon/night custodial services to include responsibility for, but not limited to, cleaning of all Custodial Areas, floorcare, restroom cleaning, trash removal, exterior cleaning, applicable snow removal, and custodial services. This solicitation presents two implementation scenarios, with either option being within the discretion of the Board to implement. Proposers shall submit a Proposal addressing both scenarios. In the first scenario, CPS is seeking to contract with vendors to also provide custodial managers, in addition to private custodians. These managers will be responsible for, but those responsibilities shall not be limited to, managing both Board and private custodians on a day-to-day basis, performing evaluations, meeting with principals, providing on-site training and ensuring cleanliness levels are at the expected standard. In the other scenario, the Proposer(s) shall only be providing private custodians that will be managed by Board custodial managers.
